Double pack for Murrelektronik: The company has won two prestigious prizes with its brand new “VARIO-X” automation system. The “Factory of the Future” award in the category “Best Equipment, Best System” presented at the “Advcanced Factories Congress” in Barcelona. And the audience award as product of the year in the category “Communication & Networking” awarded by the magazine “Computer & Automation”. Both awards praise Murrelektronik’s outstanding future viability and innovative strength.
VARIO-X is a modular and highly flexible automation system with which all automation functions can be implemented completely decentrally for the first time, i.e. without a control cabinet architecture. It brings sensors and actuators directly into the machine environment and ensures reliable voltage, signal and data management with the seamless integration of decentralized servo drives. The accompanying digital twin saves costs and time in planning, installation, operation and service. “We are pleased about the two awards and they are a confirmation of our efforts to constantly question automation and to push it forward with new approaches and ideas. That’s why they are not only confirmation for us, but above all an incentive to continue on the path to decentralized digitization with all consistency,” says Christian Kübler, Product Manager VARIO-X at Murrelektronik.
