Power inductors or HF inductors can be manufactured using different technologies depending on the application. The decisive factor for making the right selection is the result that the user wants to achieve with the inductance.
New in high-frequency applications is thin-film technology, which enables even smaller designs and produces better results with tight tolerances. Power inductors are increasingly being manufactured using injection molding (molded power chokes). This means that different alloys can be used to increase the saturation current and the direct current load.
